About D.D.Wheelwrights

The goal of D.D. Wheelwrights is to promote Proto:87 standards.

In order to dispel the perception that such fine standards are only achievable by exceptionally gifted or wealthy modellers, we aim to make key components available at prices appropriate to a hobby.

The standards and principals are those conceived and promoted by the
Model Railway Study Group. These are open standards, available to all.
The name Proto:87 was protected by the MRSG in order to discourage corruption of the standards as designed.
D.D.Wheelwrights will respect this, as a standard can only be that if consistently applied.

Our products, while often suited to wider application, are primarily aimed at the needs of the European prototype. We hope one day to offer our Website in other European languages, while we have started to offer instructions in other languages.

Building a Website has proven to be a time consuming job. We offer it as is, but intend to slowly improve and expand it, and the facilities offered, as circumstances allow.
