Used in hand built track and turnout construction, our design is universal for use with any of the finer rail profiles from code 83 down to code 55. It will give the correct gauge widening for a given radius curve. Additionally the gauge is electrically insulated and treated so as to be resistant to solder and fluxes. Track laying is simplified as the central hole engages with 10mm diameter mapping pins to enable track alignment on a
centre line.
IMPORTANT: In use, always ensure that the side of the gauge with
2 pins, not 4, is on the inside of the curve.
Failure to do so will result in gauge narrowing.
